exhaustion

my body hates nature. it's a simple fact. when the world wakes up from its winter slumber and spring blooms begin to appear, my body totally rebels. my eyes swell and itch, i become congested, i sneeze constantly, my asthma kicks up, and my body then runs itself down to the point of non-function altogether.
the sad thing is, it's this time of the year that i yearn to spend as much time outside as possible. the temperature is just right, i'm craving sun, and the anticipation of that first barbeque overwhelms me. so it's simply tragic that my seasonal allergies are so severe to the point of crippling me.
in fact, my whole torso hurts from contracting so much with every sneeze. and i can't imagine flooding my body with those awful pink pills is doing me any longterm good.

my only reprieve is that i work in a sterile office building with no outside ventilation. as much as i hate being trapped in a corporate jail, for eight hours each day, my allergies subside. apparently, i'm only allergic to nature. not man-made dust and pollution. figures. i was born and raised in the concrete jungle.

on a completely unrelated note, i'm enjoying our new television immensely. i realized what a gem we have when i saw the hockey puck on the screen clearly, and was able to follow it through the game! yay hd, indeed.
