well, so i'm off my butt and working for a living again.
the notion of a steady paycheck is fantastic, yet a working lifestyle really cramps some luxuries that i've picked up during unemployment.
blogging is definitely one of those.
it's not that i have nothing to say now that i'm once again a mindless drone of capitalism. it's just that i'm so damn tired all the time. between the early mornings, the long commute, and late dinners, i barely have time to say hello to my husband let alone blog.
my saving grace is that i've been without much to do at work, and i have a convenient computer at my desk with an internet connection.
blogging at work restricts me in a lot of ways, though. i feel like i should use discretion in my topics and my language, which precludes me from talking about my more personal feelings and thoughts. i did find my journal the other night, and i think i may start writing in it again. i've found that my journal entries at home tend to be more insightful of what's going on in my head, while my blog remains more or less a chronological log of my life's events.
speaking of events, i went to the doctor's office today to get some blood work done in preparation of my yearly physical. ever since my diagnosis with metabolic syndrome and PCOS, they've been ordering a lot more tests. the phlebotomist (is that what they are?) told me that i have "tiny veins." i always knew i had problematic veins. some less-trained lab techs usually have to poke me multiple times (and in both arms) to get a good draw (which is oh-so-painful). i never knew the problem lay with the size of my veins. i guess you learn something about yourself every day? it helps to know HOW you're defective, not just that you simply are.
